    Princeton – Judy Helen McLamb Massey, age 75, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at her home in Princeton. Born January 14, 1949 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Charles “C.L.” and Myrtle Tyner McLamb. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Bamford.

    Judy was a lifelong member of Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She loved to cook and spend time on Facebook looking at cooking shows to find new recipes to try. She really enjoyed cooking for the family on birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Judy enjoyed crocheting, fishing and spending time at Snead’s Ferry. Whenever you saw Judy, you saw her family. Judy always loved hearing from her family, especially her three grandchildren.

    A funeral service will be held at Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

    She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Linwood Massey; daughter, Tracy Massey Bamford of Clayton; son, Brad Massey and wife Jennifer of Princeton; grandchildren, Aubrey Bamford, Layton Massey, and Allie Massey; sister, Deborah Godwin and husband Brian of Selma; and her extended family of Mr. Virgil Hodge.
