Benson, NC: Mr. Kenneth Dawson, age 50, of NC-242 passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held-11:00AM Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Burial will follow in Dawson Family Cemetery in Benson.
Mr. Dawson was born on February 21, 1974 in Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Reagan Hartley; maternal grandparents, George and Mildred Bass; and paternal grandparents, Joe Mack and Ida Dawson.
Mr. Dawson was a go getter type of man who was successful in anything he put his mind to and was always full of energy, he worked for Grifols over 27 years as Senior Quality Associate but was also a licensed contractor and a real estate broker. An avid sportsman, he had a lifetime passion for fishing and hunting and was an NC State Fan. More than anything else, he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 25 years, Christy Dawson of the home; son, Jake Dawson of Benson; father and mother, John and Gay Dawson of Four Oaks; brother, Chad Grimes and wife, Rebecca of Apex; sisters, Melissa Stephenson and husband, Scott of Willow Spring and Meredith Hayes and husband, J.R. of Graham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
