Selma – Minnie Ann Windham, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2025 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Johnston County on March 26, 1937 to the late John Pilkington and Minnie Brown Pilkington. In addition to her father and mother she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Windham, and 7 siblings.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday January 15, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private. The family will be receiving visitors at the home in Selma.
Minnie is survived by her daughters, Vicky Windham of Selma, Terry Cullens and husband Chuck of Hertford, Lisa Tyson, and husband Seth of Stantonsburg; grandchildren, Justin Cullens of Holly Springs, Jordan Cullens of Fuquay Varina, Anna Tyson Parris of Wilson, Abby Tyson of Wilson; great grandchildren, Braxton, Easton, Madison, Ellis, Emily, Tyson, and Riley.
She was married to her loving husband Billy, “Goose” for 60 years. She enjoyed cooking the most delicious meals for her family, and keeping her yard meticulously manicured. In earlier years she was an avid reader. She loved her church family and was an active member of Pine Level First United Methodist Church. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.
We will miss her strong will, loving spirit and spunky nature, that were present all of her 87 years.

Terry I’m so sorry to hear about your mom, she was such a sweetheart. Every time I saw her she told me she was ready to go home, now she’s in the presence of our dear Lord and Savior. You’ll see her again one day.
