Nelson Craig Lee

Craig Lee, 55, of Princeton, departed this world on April 22, 2024. He was born in Wake County but made Texas his home for most of his life. He was predeceased by his Father, Nelson E. Lee, maternal grandparents: Leslie and Eliza Mae Game, paternal grandparents: Raymond and Lena Lee.

He was an excellent athlete in his childhood and young adulthood. He was a naturally gifted golfer. For as long as he was able, he was on the golf course or driving range every chance he got. Though his health prevented him from following his passion, his love for the sport never faded. He enjoyed many other activities as well; fishing, football, baseball, reading, computer games and sci-fi. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Craig loved the natural beauty we’re so blessed with in Johnston County. One of his lifelong dreams had been to return to the family farm. In December of 2019, he got his wish and moved home to be with his widowed Mother. He loved sitting on the deck watching the seasons change.

Craig is survived by his 3 children: Daughter – Morgan Lee, Sons, Jake Lee and Connor Lee of San Antonio. He leaves behind his brother, William Joseph Lee of Dallas and mother, Peggy Game Lee of Princeton. He loved his family deeply and stayed involved in their lives regardless of the distance. They all shared a love of Harry Potter!

There will be a memorial service at a later date. The family is grateful for all the calls, visits, food and cards. He left a void that can never be filled.

Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution, please give to your charity of choice or Progressive Presbyterian Church, 3790 Progressive Church Rd., Princeton, North Carolina 27569.
