Coats, NC: Mrs. Patricia Tart Dorman, age 80, of Erwin Chapel Road passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benson. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Coats Community Church. Officiating will be Rev. Chuck Jones. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorman was born on January 26, 1943 in Johnston County to the late Woodrow and Thelma Johnson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maylon Allen Tart and infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Tart. Mrs. Dorman retired from Campbell University where she worked for over 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Dorman; daughters, Teresa McLeod and husband, Charles and Lisa McLeod and husband, Shannon; grandchildren, Casey McLeod, Jamie Hamby and husband, Steven, and Tanner McLeod and wife, Olivia; and great grandson, Rhett Byrd.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to the service on Saturday at Coats Community Church.
