Smithfield, NC: Ms. Joyce Parnell Clayton, age 81, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:00PM-Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Pastor Glenn Raven will officiate. A Private Burial will be held by the family at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn, NC.
Ms. Clayton was born on August 23, 1941 in Harnett County, NC to the late Lloyd and Nellie Lee Parnell. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lalon “Nina” Parnell. Ms. Clayton was a homemaker, loved music, cats, and travel.
Survivors include her son, Donald Ray “Donnie” Patton, Jr., and wife, Lisa of Four Oaks, NC; grandchildren, Megan Fuller, Drew Fuller and wife, Alyssa, Christopher Ellis, and Samuel Ellis; great-grandchildren, Carter Moore, Davin Fuller, Carissa Ellis, Daxon Fuller and Dalson Fuller.
The family will receive friends following the Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Friends of Johnston County Animal Services, 115 Shelterway, Smithfield, NC 27577, to help with supplies with shelter animals.
