Kenly- Phillip Ray “Phil” House, 65, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 23, 1958 in Wilson County, he was the son to the late James House and Velma Daughtry.
Phil was a Master Mechanic with over 50 years of experience. He ran Phil’s Auto Repair until his retirement due to health reasons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dick Strickland, brothers-in-laws, Doug Lane and Terry Strickland.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Darnell House; son, Phillip James (Dawn); brother Dennis James House of Micro; sisters, Elise Atkinson (David) of Selma, Janey Lane of Micro; mother-in-law, Geraldine Strickland; sister-in-law, Dianne Holland (Melvin); brothers-in-laws, Timmy Strickland (Vanessa), Greg Lane of Micro; and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, James Ray House and Annabelle House along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor Phil’s life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Micro Memorial Gardens in Micro with Rev. Matt Spence officiating.
