Rhonda Roberson Brewster, age 67 passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC. Rhonda was born November 25, 1956 in Charlotte, NC to the late David and Ruby Roberson and spent most of her childhood in the Oakdale Community.
For many years, Rhonda and her husband, Phillip, made their home in Smithfield, NC where they owned and operated a plumbing supply business. While in Smithfield, she attended Centerville Methodist Church where she was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. She later became a caregiver for several families in need of personal care using her talent for cooking and service. In 2007, Rhonda graduated with honors from Johnson Community College with an associate degree in applied science for General Occupational Technology and Medical Office Administration.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Brewster, husband, Azeem Chapman, grandsons, Malachi, L.J., D.J., Charlie, Jeremiah and Xavier of Pittsboro, NC.
Also, Brothers, Jack (Hattie) of Lowesville, NC, David (Pam) of Charlotte, NC, James, (Bo)(Donna) of Locust, NC, Ken of Healing Spring, SC and Joseph (Vicki) of Lincolnton. One sister, Jeanie (Clyde) of Mt. Gilead, NC. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her best friend Phyllis Mcquire of Cornelius, who is considered family by all.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Phillip Brewster and her parents David and Ruby Roberson.
A Celebration of Life with be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Northlake Assembly of God on Sunset Road in Charlotte, NC.
Prior to her care at Hospice, she spent 6 years at the Greens, formally Brian Center in Gastonia, NC. The family would like to thank the staff that cared for her at The Greens of Gastonia and the Robin Johnson Hospice House of Dallas.
