Robbie Sanders, III, of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away on July 29, 2025, in his hometown at the age of 72. Born on November 27, 1952, Rob spent his life rooted in the community where he was raised. He was the son of the late Robbie Sanders, II, and Mary Godwin Sanders. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Sanders. 

Rob was a proud graduate of Clayton High School, class of 1971, and continued his education at Louisburg College. Rob held several positions in his career, all involved being an exceptional conversationalist. Rob’s life was filled with joy, rhythm, and laughter. A lover of music and dancing, he had a natural ability to bring energy into any room. Whether through a favorite song or a well-timed joke, he had a gift for keeping everyone around him smiling. 

He leaves behind a loving family who will carry forward his spirit and humor: his son, Robbie Sanders, IV, and wife Brittany; his daughter, Kimberly Stallings, and husband Mark; and four cherished grandsons—Wyatt and Weston Sanders, and Ethan and Austin Stallings. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire moments of joy and laughter.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Parrish Funeral Home, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to gather at his son’s residence (949 Smith Road, Smithfield, NC 27577) to offer condolences and share memories on Thursday and Friday.
