Benson, NC: Mrs. Theraldine Barefoot, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC. Rev. Doug Abel will officiate.
Mrs. Barefoot was born on February 13, 1942 in Johnston County, NC to the late James Jeffrey Barefoot and Alice Moore Barefoot. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Benton Barefoot, twin sister, Geraldine Parker, and brother, Wade Barefoot. Mrs. Barefoot was a homemaker, a loving mother, granny and great-granny.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Barbour and husband Ricky of Benson, NC; granddaughter, Casey Barbour Hawkins and husband, Christopher of New Bern, NC; great-grandson, Easton Dean Hawkins; special nephew, Craig Parker and family; sister-in-law, Brenda Barefoot; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-1:45PM, Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home of Cynthia & Ricky Barbour 5595 Godwin Lake Road, Benson, NC 27504.
