Timothy Keith Mitchell, age 66, died Tuesday morning at his home. Born January 10, 1958, in Johnston County to the late J. M. and Nellie Mae Pilkington Mitchell, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Melvin Mitchell and a nephew Michael Pearce.
Tim worked with Squibb in Kenly until it closed. At which time he went to work with GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals until his retirement. As a young man, he enjoyed spending time at the beach, but in recent years he spent his free time playing golf at the Cardinal County Club. When not at the Cardinal CC, he loved to be around his family, especially his two granddaughters.
Surviving are his daughter, Erin M. Sodano and her husband Jimmy of Lucama; sister, Louise M. Pearce and her husband Doug of Morehead City; sister-in-law, Teresa L. Mitchell of Ocala, FL; granddaughters, Lottie Sodano and Amelia Sodano; nieces, Christy Pearce and Alexis Mitchell; nephews, James Mitchell and Nicholas Mitchell and several great nieces and nephews.
According to Tim’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
