Winston “Scott” Canady, age 65, died on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at UNC REX Healthcare in Raleigh. A memorial service celebrating Scott’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Scott Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Canady was born on March 15, 1957 to the late Claude “Doodle” and Kathryn Brock Canady Ferrell. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Canady and nephew Taylor Creech. He was a dedicated employee of Duke Progress Energy for over 37 years, a loving husband, father, PaPa, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ginger Johnson Canady; his daughter, Alexandra Ennis and husband, Cameron; grandchild, Tennison Scott Ennis; brother, John Jeffrey Canady and wife, Kim; sisters, Tammy Rogers, Janie Beth Dunn and husband, Dannie, Suzanne Perry and husband, Kelly; brother-in-law, Ronnie Johnson and wife, Peggy; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
While flowers are welcomed, memorial contributions may also be made to Heartland Hospice Care 3850 Ed Drive Suite 100 Raleigh, NC 27612.
