Christine Toler Willoughby, 83, of Princeton, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born April 14, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Henry Nicholas and Nettie Jane Wiggins Toler. Mrs. Willoughby is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Atlas Willoughby and first husband, Billy Franklin Bridgers; sisters, Katie McClung and Pearline Worley.
Mrs. Willoughby was a member of Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Christine loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and her trips to the mountains. One of her weekly high lights was getting her hair fixed. As the holidays approached every year, she looked forward to making her Christmas candies.
The Funeral Service will be conducted 6:00 pm Wednesday November 20, 2019 at Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Dennis Pollock Officiating. The Committal Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Baker’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Wednesday November 20th at Tee’s Chapel FWB Church.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Willoughby (Amy) of Raleigh; daughters, Darnell Willoughby of Princeton, Pat Edwards (Tony) of Princeton and Billie Jean Gower (Wayne) of Smithfield; brother, David Toler of Smithfield; grandchildren, Shannon Edwards Rowe, Spencer Edwards, Christian Willoughby, Katie Willoughby and Keller Willoughby: great grandchildren, Marley Rowe and Mason Rowe.
