Coats, NC: Mrs. Clevene Stephenson Walker, age 91, of Abattoir Road passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunn. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Coats United Methodist Church in Coats, NC. Revs. Paul Cecil and Phil Bowden will officiate. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mrs. Walker was born on May 8, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Clingman and Betty Johnson Stephenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stacy E. Walker; sisters and brother, Elsie Morris, Mae Morris, Lunette Langdon, Hazel Johnson, Goldie Young, Ada Bowden, Beatrice Stephenson Dobbs, Bernice Coats, Reba Vaughn, and Harvey Stephenson. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and member of Coats United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Stephen Walker and wife, Janice, Scott Walker and wife, Wilma, and Susan Walker Occena; grandchildren, Bradley Walker and wife, Krista, Brian Walker and wife, Mandi, Lindsay Coats, Travis Walker, Erica Occena, Matt Occena, and Jennifer Occena; great-grandchildren, Ashley Walker and Easton Coats; sisters, Martha Faison and Rachel Parrish; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Stephen and Janice Walker.
