PRINCETON – David Earl Evans, age 97, died Friday evening, June 14, 2019 in the SECU Hospice House. Born July 31, 1921 in Johnston County to the late Charlie and Florence Pilkington Evans, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elean Evans, both sons-in-law, James Toler and Bernie House and all of his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. just prior to the service.
Surviving are his son, Gene Evans and fiancée Melissa Hester of Princeton; daughters, Brenda House of Pine Level and Patricia Toler of Princeton; grandchildren, Kim Horne (Alan), Andy House (Marsha), Chris Toler (Missy), Lisa Thompson (Keith), Kristy Barnes (Greg), and Robbie Evans (Amy) and fourteen great-grandchildren.
