Doris Linda McSwane Harris was born June 3, 1949, in Smithfield, NC, to the late Dock Hilton McSwane and Gladys Banks. Linda passed quietly away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Duke Regional Hospital, Durham,NC.
Linda was a 1967 graduate of Johnston Central High School,
Smithfield, NC. On October 11, 1969, she married the
love of her life Clemmon Harris, whom her dad adored, and they began their military adventures for over 20 years.
Services for Mrs. Doris Linda McSwane Harris will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019. Viewing/Visitation will begin at 1:00pm followed by funeral services at 2:00pm at the First Missionary Baptist Church 403 Caswell St., Smithfield, NC.
The family will receive guests at their home 388 Bayhill Dr. Smithfield, NC on Wednesday Only September 4th from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
