Harold Dee Wisdom of Lillington, NC, formerly of Fordyce, AR, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October, 8, 2019 happily rejoined with his wife, Ernestine. Born in Waldren, AR on March 31, 1931, the seventh child of Thomas Phelps and Jessie Mabel Bailey Wisdom, he was reared in Sacramento, CA.
A resident of Lillington, NC the past 5 years, he had been the husband of Ernestine Jacquelyn Danley Wisdom for 65 ½ wonderful years. Mrs. Wisdom preceded her husband in death in 2013. He is survived by their daughters, Kandis Dee Wisdom-Grant and her husband Joe of E. Peoria, IL and Cathy Lee Wisdom-Grant and her husband Jim of Angier, NC. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Jason Grant and wife Jennifer of E. Peoria, IL, Shane Grant and wife Wendy of Garner, Brandon Dee Grant of E. Peoria, IL and Stephanie Grant of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Mr. and Mrs. Wisdom were blessed with 8 precious great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nolan, Andrew, Colton, of E. Peoria, IL, Natalie, Brayden, Val and Bryson of Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelley R. Grant of Raleigh, NC and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Dee or “Uncle Dee” as he was known by family attended the Sacramento, CA public schools and later graduated from the Western Apostolic Bible College in Stockton, CA and served for over 50 years in the ministry. Rev. Wisdom spent a life-time ministering, traveling abroad and conducting Holy Land tours for many years. He strived to live a Christ-Centered Life since accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Master at the age of 30. He owned his own residential and corporate landscaping business and crafted original designs with his talent for beauty.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Pentecostal Church, 2002 Highway 79 167 Bypass, Fordyce, AR 71742. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. just prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce.
