Smithfield, NC: Mr. James Edward Pittman, age 62, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Strother. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield.
Mr. Pittman was born on January 5, 1956 in New Hanover County to the late Bobby Ray Pittman. He was a retired service/technician in heating and air conditioning. Mr. Pittman attended Temple Baptist Church and was a Fireman for the Town of Smithfield.
Surviving include his wife, Lisa Starling Pittman; children, Thomas Pittman and wife, Lora of Wilson, Julie Cooper of Fremont, Leslie Willoughby and husband, Chuck of Pine Level, Christy Rouse of Smithfield, Jennifer Mitchell and husband, Robert of Wendell, Angie and Mike Strickland of Wendell; ten grandchildren; sisters, Pamela Gibbons and husband, Mark of Erwin, Vickie Pittman and wife, Gwen Byrd of Hampstead; brothers, Bobby Pittman and wife, Karen and Shawn and wife, Kitty Ezzell all of Elm City.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 and other times at the home.
