    Goldsboro – Joyce E. “Ma” Stephenson Hare, age 68, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Born July 6, 1950 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the Glefus Cevaston and Cornelia Mae Eason Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby E. Hare; sisters, Connie Bailey and Laura “Lolly” Creech; step granddaughter, Heather Marie Tucker; and stepson, Bobby E. “Bud” Hare. Joyce was a member of the NRA and the crocheting group “The Hookers.” She loved the beach, dancing, music, and her family. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, but especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Radford officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 26, 2019 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
    Surviving are daughters, Angela “Angie” Hare Bragg and husband Allen of Goldsboro, Cindy Hare Davenport and husband Chad of Princeton, and Patricia “Sissy” Hare of Goldsboro;  brother, William Kenyon and wife Tammy of Princeton; sister, Teresa Massey and husband Jimmy of Selma; grandchildren, Jessica Bragg, Heather Bragg, Taylor Bragg, and Conner Davenport; step grandchildren, Brian Helmick, Jeffrey Phillips, and Joshua Phillips; and great grandchildren, Justin Holland, Ryley Erickson, Layla Erickson, Waylon Mayer, Maddie Helmick, Garrett Tucker, Emma Phillips, Marshall Phillips, Whitney Phillips, Lucas Phillips, and Landon Phillips.
