Selma – Linda Edwards Brannan, age 76, died Thursday evening in the SECU hospice House in Smithfield. Born July 17, 1944 in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Vick and Mildred Carter Edwards.
She was a member of the Divine Crossing Baptist Church in Selma and a retired bank teller, having worked with First National Bank in Smithfield, KS Bank in Selma and most recently with the Bank of Four Oaks in Four Oaks.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 5:pm in the Crocker Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Ronnie Brannan, II of Selma; daughter, Wanda Blizzard and husband Doug of Smithfield; sister, Jessie Eason of Swansboro and two grandchildren, Harrison Howell and Reagan Howell.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Mrs. Brannan.
