Selma – Martha Ellen Jones Clark, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at her home in Selma. Born October 20, 1940, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. William Jacob Clark Sr., brothers; Charlie Jones and Clifton Jones and her sister Rose Parker.
Martha was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Princeton for many years. She loved to read the Bible and enjoyed testifying with others about the love of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, cooking, and fellowship with others. She was very sociable and never met a stranger. Most importantly she loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The burial to follow in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Surviving are her children, William Jacob Clark Jr. of TX, Monia Baker (husband James Jr.) of Selma and Brenda Clark of Pine Level; sister, Edith Johnson of Micro; grandchildren, William Clark, Melissa Clark, Travis Baker, Jessica Baker, Raven Clark and Makayla Clark; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Clark, Winnie Wells, Leo Wells and Josie Wells. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Lori Blackson.
