Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Mary Magdalene Morgan Johnson, age 85, of 2312 Hannah Creek Road died Friday at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehab in Benson. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Doug Abel. Burial will follow in Pias B. Johnson Family Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Johnson was born on February 24, 1931 in Johnston County to the late John Sherman and Ethel Lee Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Talton Johnson; son, Ronnie Talton Johnson and grandson, Joshua Talton Lassiter; siblings, Thera Rebecca Morgan, James Willard Morgan, Lillie Lucille Morgan, Cindy Irene Morgan Jackson and John Ira “Pete” Morgan . Mrs. Johnson was a retired caregiver, flower shop assistant and homemaker. She was also a member of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Mike Adams of Benson and Janet and Walt Lassiter of Four Oaks; grandchildren and spouses, Kristy and Chris Miller, April and Ashley Strickland all of Benson, Tres Lassiter of Smithfield and Matthew Adams of Four Oaks; great-grandchildren, Adam Miller, Aubrey Morgan Miller, Ava Strickland and Allen Strickland; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Coats of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday and other times at the home of Becky and Mike Adams, 1062 B Adams Rd, Benson, NC 27504.
Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to Stones Creek Church, Building Fund, c/o Phyllis Barefoot, 64 Woods Crossroads Rd, Benson, NC 27504.
