Princeton – Opal Leigh Massey, age 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Born, July 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James Frank Massey and Lillie Aycock Massey in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her brother, Franklin Massey, and sister, Jean Williams. She was a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews; she loved her family and loved spending time with them. She will be remembered for her incredible devotion to each member of her family.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bizzell Grove Church Cemetery in Princeton.
She is survived by her brother, Doug Massey (wife Marietta) of Princeton, sister, Frankie Mae Talton of Princeton, nine nieces and nephews, and fourteen great-nieces and nephews.
