McDonough, GA- Peggy Ann Weaver Knox, age 79, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Westbury Medical Care Home in Georgia. Born September 18, 1940 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Raymond Howard and Alice Overman Weaver. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruthalean Crocker and Joyce Creech; and brother, R. H. Weaver. Peggy was a member of Holly Springs FWB Church in Kenly and later became a member of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Holly Springs FWB Church in Kenly. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Hal Knox and wife Vonda of Social Circle, GA: daughters, Deborah Woodall and husband Lamar and Rita Cruse and husband Alan, all of McDonough, GA; brothers, Johnny Weaver of Kenly, Ray Weaver and wife Becky of Kenly, and Jerry Weaver of Newport; sisters, Elgie Creech of Kenly, Frances Wortham and husband Bobby of Fuquay-Varina, and Violet Jenkins of Smithfield; grandchildren, Trey Young, Katie Beth Hunt, Will Ward, Nicholas Ward, Allie Knox, and Garrett Knox; and great grandchildren, Wyatt Hunt, Annie Hunt, Maggie Grace Hunt, Brooke Ann Young, and Liam Knox Ward.
