Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Ruth Lassiter Strickland, age 91, of Keene Road passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Services will be 3:00PM-Friday, September 10, 2021 at Four Oaks City Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Sam Blackman.
Mrs. Strickland was born on March 7, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Lonnie Alfred and Kitty Dale Strickland Lassiter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Faye Mozingo; sons, Jimmy Johnson and Danny Johnson and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Strickland was a retired home healthcare certified nursing assistant.
Surviving include her daughter, Donna Ruth Morris of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Tina Smith and husband, Jeremy of Newton Grove, Chris Morris of Four Oaks, Lisa Shallington of Four Oaks, Ronald Mozingo of Four Oaks, Larry Mozingo of Benson, Connie Jo Bland of Micro; and ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Strickland will be available for viewing, and you may sign the register book on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:00AM until 7:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
The family will be receiving friends other times at the home of Mark King, 53 Thomas Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required, but are kindly recommended for all services.
