Sandra Abrams “Sandy” Jones, age 66, of Smithfield, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Norfolk, VA on July 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Woodrow and Mattie Maxine Parker Abrams. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Kin Abrams. Sandy worked for many years in the Accounting Department at K. R. Edwards Tobacco Company and later at Mac Jones Construction. She was a member of Princeton United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, from 1:30 until 3:00 pm in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
Surviving are her husband, Mac Jones; sons, Chris Long and wife Donna of Clayton, Matthew Jones and wife Ashley of Smithfield; her sister, Judy Strickland and husband Donald of Dunn; and her grandchildren, Tyler Long, Parker and Kennedy Jones.
