    Terry Strickland
    Kenly – Terry Lewis “Fuzzy” Strickland passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence on Harrell Store Road.
    Terry was born in Wayne County on March 28, 1951 to the late Henry Lewis Strickland and Pearline Westbrook Strickland. Terry worked as the superintendent of public works for the Town of Kenly and later retired from the Public Works Department for the city of Raleigh. He also served his community as a volunteer fireman for Polly Watson Fire Department. Terry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
    A service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at his home.
    Terry is survived by his wife of 40 years Martha Smith Strickland; children, Crystal Holmes and husband Scotty, Thor Strickland, Terry Ricks, and Cherrie Cole, and grandchildren, Gage Holmes and Carl Holmes. He is also survived by a sister, Darlene Price, and a brother Jerry Strickland.
    In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Rose Bass.
