Lucama – Willis Lester Harper, Jr., age 76, died Tuesday evening, November 20, 2018 in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born May 27, 1942 in Johnston County he was the son of the late Willis Lester and Lillie Worley Harper. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Lamm. Willis attended Lucama Independent Holiness Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 in Micro Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rev. Marvin Smith and Rev. James Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma just prior to the graveside service.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Harper of Lucama; daughter, Renee West and husband Michael of Lexington; sisters, Judy Evans, Jo Lee, Jeanette Lee, and Becky Hill; and grandchildren, Jonathan Pittman and wife Nidia Aguilar and Shaina Pittman.
