Overnight Lane Closures For Sampson County Road
CLINTON, N.C. – The N.C. Department of Transportation is set to resurface a downtown Clinton road beginning Sunday night Oct. 4.
Sunset Avenue/Fayetteville Street will be paved from Forest Trail to the intersection with McKoy Street, Sycamore Street and Vance Street, requiring intermittent overnight lane closures. Work will be conducted nightly Monday – Sunday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Operations will include utility adjustments, milling, paving and pavement markings. Road work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled. Drivers should use caution and reduce speed while traveling through the work zone.
