SAMPSON COUNTY – A 32 year-old woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle. The accident happened this morning (Friday) around 7:27am, on Reedsford Road near Melvabrook Drive, a few miles south of Clinton.
According to the State Highway Patrol, the victim was walking on the shoulder of Reedsford Road when she was struck by a white 2009-2014 Acura TL passenger car.
The victim was airlifted to WakeMed with serious injuries.
The vehicle never stopped at the scene. The car will be missing a passenger side mirror.
