A driver who became disoriented struck a parked train car early Thursday morning in Johnston County.
Around 1:30am, the driver of a Ford F-250 pickup pulling a cargo trailer became lost while traveling on Pine Level-Selma Road near Selma. The driver took a wrong turn and ended up on the railroad tracks.
After traveling a short distance the truck collided with a train tanker car that was parked on a side track. No injuries were reported.
Railroad Police are leading the investigation into the incident. The name of the driver involved in the crash was not immediately released.
