A tractor trailer and pickup truck collided Monday night outside of Clayton. The accident was reported just past 9:00pm on Highway 42 East at Motorcycle Road.
A pickup truck traveling on Motorcycle Road collided with the side of a Harris Teeter semi traveling westbound on Highway 42. The rear wheels of the trailer demolished the front end of the small pickup.
Two occupants in the pickup and the driver of the semi escaped without any injuries.
State Trooper T. Price is investigating the accident.
The State Highway Patrol, Thanksgiving Fire Department and Johnston County EMS responded to the crash.
