Smithfield Police are investigating a road rage incident on North Brightleaf Boulevard near Canterbury Road.
Around 11:00am Monday, a 56 year-old Wilson County man said he was traveling on Brightleaf Boulevard (US 301) when another motorist pointed a gun at him. Smithfield Police responded to the area and located the other driver. The driver denied pointing a weapon and no gun was located.
Officers have not said if any charges will be filed. No injuries were reported.
