Several homes in the Town of Smithfield will be without power for several hours on Tuesday.
A tree removal company will be doing work Tuesday between 8:30am and 4:00pm in the area of South Fourth Street and Holt Street. To ensure the work can be done safety, the Smithfield electrical department will cut power in the area while the work is being performed.
Power service should be restored no later than 4:00pm Tuesday. Any resident with questions about the outage can call 919-934-2230.
