RALEIGH — State Representative Donna White of Clayton (R-Johnston) has been appointed to serve as a Chair of the NC House Health Committee and as a Chair of the powerful Appropriations Health and Human Services Committee by House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland).
As a leader on these committees, Representative White will rely on her years of service at NC Department of Health and Human Services and as a public health nurse to promote and create policy that provides top-level health care services to North Carolinians, in addition to being a diligent steward of public tax dollars.
“The public health pandemic of the past year, and the uncertainty of the coming year, are presenting North Carolina with a vast array of challenges that will require much due diligence, organization and collaboration across many agencies to find solutions. I am committed to addressing these challenges for all populations “ says Rep. White, “ and I feel honored to have the opportunity to serve the state’s people through this policy and fiscal oversight role.”
This is Rep. White’s third term in the House representing District 26. She has been a key strategist in the health and human services arena from the beginning. Other areas of policy interest include early childhood education, energy and economic development.
