Authorities are searching for a vehicle following a road rage incident near Clayton.
It happened Sunday night on the US 70 Clayton Bypass.
Around 7:30pm a Clayton man and his son were traveling on the US 70 Bypass and came up on a small green car that was driving erratically. The men tried to pass the car but the suspect changed lanes and prevented them from passing.
The men tried several more times to change lanes and pass but the other driver refused to allow them to pass, even speeding up to block their passing attempts.
Eventually, the men were able to pass, however, an occupant in the green car pulled out a gun. The man was able to exit onto Ranch Road and get away from the other driver.
Johnston County deputies canvassed the area Sunday night looking for the car. It wasn’t located but deputies do have a license plate number off the car they’re working to track down. No injuries were reported.
