The Johnston County School Board has awarded over $2.6 million in contracts for Exceptional Children Programs for the 2017-18 school year.
Kinetic Physical Therapy and Wellness was awarded the largest contract of $2 million to provide speech language therapists for direct services for students.
Johnston Psychiatric Associates, PA was awarded a contract of $200,000 to provide mental health service providers to work with students at the Therapeutic Learning Center.
Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. received a $125,000 contract to provide nursing services to students with medical needs while attending school.
Johnston County Industries (JCI) received a $370,211 contract to employ 6 full-time job coaches to provide community-based vocational training to Occupational Course of Study and Life Skills students in Johnston County public schools.
The board voted unanimously to approve the contracts.
