School Bus Stopped At Intersection During Three-Vehicle Collision

SELMA – A Johnston County public school bus carrying seven students was involved in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Jordan-Narron Road and Lynch Road when a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle collided in the intersection.

The pickup truck overturned onto its side and brushed against the school bus as it flipped. The bus was stopped at the intersection at the time of the crash.

None of the students on board the bus were injured. The bus sustained minimal damage.

The occupants of the pickup truck and the passenger vehicle were evaluated at the scene by Johnston County Emergency Medical Services but declined transport to a hospital.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
