SMITHFIELD – Smithfield Police have released the identity of a man shot and killed inside a South Smithfield apartment.
Around 4:55pm Monday, police responded to 2261 Kay Drive for a disturbance. Police Chief Pete Hedrick said Antwane Deshawn Fellows, age 30, of Clayton was fatally shot during a dispute over a misplaced cell phone.
The alleged gunman fled from the scene before officers arrived. A first degree murder warrant has been obtained for Markyse Naijae McCain, age 20, of Selma. McCain is considered armed and dangerous.
