Smithfield Police are asking for assistance identifying a suspect they say passed a counterfeit $100 bill.
The man entered the ABC Store at 417 S. Brightleaf Boulevard around 3:00pm on Tuesday and passed a fake $100 bill for liquor. The suspect received approximately $80 in change then left the store.
The black male suspect was wearing an orange shirt and Clemson hat.
