Suspect Charged In Restaurant Robbery

SMITHFIELD – A Four Oaks man was arrested hours after he reportedly robbed a Smithfield restaurant.

Smithfield Police said they responded to Subway, at 905 S. Brightleaf Boulevard, at 12:54pm Monday.

Officers said the suspect entered the business and placed a food order. When an employee opened the cash register to make change, the suspect allegedly grabbed approximately $60 in cash from the register and ran out the door.

Detectives identified the suspect as Christopher Lawrence Leviner, age 40, of Black Creek Road, Four Oaks. Leviner was arrested at his residence Monday evening and charged with felony common law robbery.

No weapon was displayed during the incident. No injuries were reported.

Leviner was held under a $20,000 secured bond.

  1. Hey Leviner, I hope $60.00 was worth what you are going to go thru. Oh yes, let’s not forget the employees that you may have traumatized. These workers did not deserve this, and I think you are an animal, and animals belong in a cage!
