CLAYTON – A 24 year-old man has been charged with attempting to break into a Clayton area home. Around midnight Thursday, November 30, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a homeowner on Riverwood Drive.
The victim said they were awakened by an a notification on their security camera reportedly showing an unknown man pulling on their front door trying to get inside.
Moments later, a second neighbor called after seeing the same suspect near their home.
Deputies arrived and detained the suspect. Sergio Carrillo-Zaldivar of Raleigh was charged with one felony count of attempted first-degree burglary. He was held on a $50,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.
