  1. Am curious if this was a rather new 4-way stop. Seems they are going up everywhere. Woods Cross rd 4-way in southern johnston county is rather a waste of tax payer dollars. Some were badly needed. Would certainly love to see the statistics on the locations of the new 4-ways and their track record of accidents.

  2. It’s relatively new, the stops on 42 have been there for less than two years IIRC.

They do no good because drivers just will not pay attention. Making commutes slower and longer only makes this problem worse due to boredom. Even roundabouts, which are definitely more efficient than making everyone stop and wait, have people drive across the middle occasionally.

  3. I hope all will be ok also, but I do have an idea that might, and notice I use the word might help. I think a flashing light to warn a driver ahead of the stop sign powered by a solar panel could cut the problem way back. More and more places that have a traffic light getting ready to turn red have a flashing warning signal ahead of the red light is a big help. Might work for a stop sign. Just a thought. Another thought is for stupid drivers to turn in their driver’s license, if they have one. Stupid includes STOP TEXTING!
