A fourth Johnston County church has reported being struck by thieves who steal parts of church vans.
On Sunday, members of the Elevation United Methodist Church, located at 5101 Elevation Road, Benson reported a catalytic converter had been stolen off their church van parked outside the church.
Similar incidents have been reported at Beulah Baptist Church at 3140 Highway 242 South, Dunn; Calvary Baptist Chruch at 283 Highway 55, Dunn; and at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church on Piney Grove Church Road near Angier.
Johnston County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said it is possible all four cases are connected.
All four cases have been assigned to the detectives division.
