For the third time in a little more than a year a rural Johnston County church has been targeted by thieves.
The incidents have occurred at Calvary Baptist Church at 283 Highway 55, Dunn at the Johnston-Harnett County line.
On February 5th, church members discovered where someone had broken into a storage shed on church grounds. No items were taken but the intruder caused about $50 in damage.
In September 2018, someone broke into the same shed stealing 8 empty propane cylinders valued at $25 each.
And in December 2017, Calvary Baptist was one of about a half dozen churches that reported catalytic converters stolen from their church van.
