Tractor Trailer Crashes Into Guardrail, Trees Along I-95

FOUR OAKS — A tractor trailer crashed on Interstate 95 in Johnston County Saturday, causing traffic delays and partially closing the northbound lanes.
The accident occurred shortly before noon on I-95 just north of the US 701 interchange near Four Oaks.

The tractor trailer struck and damaged a long stretch of guardrail along the right shoulder before leaving the roadway and careening into a wooded area.
The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

One northbound lane remained closed following the accident. Officials expected the interstate to fully reopen by approximately 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.

Got caught up in it myself. Was able to hit exit at last second to take 301.. Just behind us ( on 95 ) another wrecked happened just before exit we took blocking both lanes.. 2 wrecks, 1/2 mile apart.
Been stopped for about 45 minutes short of 301
