A motorist narrowly escaped serious injury when a tree fell across her car just before midnight Saturday.
The woman was traveling in the 1600 block of Sanders Road in the McGee’s Crossroads community when a tree fell across her moving car. The vehicle sustained significant damage.
The woman was checked out by paramedics at the scene for non-life threatening injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
The NC Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
