Two Clayton Food Lion Associates Recognized For 35 Years Of Service
CLAYTON, N.C. — Two longtime employees at the Food Lion store in Clayton are being recognized for their dedication after each reached 35 years of service with the grocery retailer.
Paula Martin, a replenishment manager, and Marvin Morris, a bagger/customer service associate, were honored during Food Lion’s annual Service Awards celebration, which recognizes associates who have dedicated 30, 35, 40 or 45 years to the company.
This year, Food Lion recognized a record more than 417 associates across its 10-state footprint.
“Every day, our associates strengthen the emotional connection we have with our neighbors in the towns and cities we serve,” said Food Lion President Greg Finchum. “Because of them, customers choose Food Lion to nourish their families. I appreciate everything our associates do to bring our brand, strategy and culture to life.”
Food Lion said the annual awards recognize associates whose long careers reflect the company’s commitment to customer service and community involvement.
Headquartered in Salisbury, Food Lion operates more than 1,100 grocery stores and employs more than 82,000 associates throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
