Two Smithfield Food Lion Associates Honored For 40 Years Of Service
SMITHFIELD, N.C. — Two longtime Food Lion associates have been recognized for reaching an impressive career milestone with the grocery retailer.

Ronnie Holloman, a produce sales associate, and John Creech, a perishable associate, and were honored for 40 years of service during Food Lion’s annual Service Awards ceremony.
The Smithfield employees were among a record more than 417 associates across the company recognized this year for reaching 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service. Together, this year’s honorees represent more than 14,000 years of service to Food Lion customers and communities.

“I am incredibly proud to celebrate these associates and the remarkable commitment they’ve shown throughout their careers,” said Greg Finchum, president of Food Lion. “Every day, our associates strengthen the emotional connection we have with our neighbors in the towns and cities we serve. Because of them, customers choose Food Lion to nourish their families. I appreciate everything our associates do to bring our brand, strategy and culture to life. It’s our associates who make Food Lion what it is today.”
Food Lion said the annual awards ceremony recognizes associates whose dedication has helped serve generations of customers while contributing to the company’s success.
The Salisbury-based grocery retailer employs more than 82,000 associates at more than 1,100 stores across 10 states.
For Creech and Holloman, four decades of service reflects a longstanding commitment to serving shoppers in the Smithfield community and helping make Food Lion a familiar part of Johnston County.
