Wilson’s Mills Announces 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event

A Family-Friendly Day of Big Trucks, Big Fun, and Community Connection

WILSON’S MILLS, NC — The Town of Wilson’s Mills invites families from across the region to its 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, April 25, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Phillip R. Wright Community Park, located at 988 Powhatan Road.

This free, family-friendly event offers children and adults the unique opportunity to explore a wide variety of vehicles up close—from fire trucks and police cruisers to construction equipment and specialty service vehicles. Guests can climb aboard, honk horns, and meet the people who operate the vehicles that help keep our community running every day.

In addition to the vehicles, Touch-A-Truck will feature food trucks, local vendors, children’s activities, and a 50/50 raffle. Free popcorn, bottled water, and family activities such as inflatables, games, face painting, and balloon twisting will be available throughout the event, making it a full day of fun for all ages.

To ensure an inclusive experience for all guests, the first hour of the event (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM) will be designated as a sensory-friendly, horn-free hour, during which sirens and loud noises will be silenced.

“Touch-A-Truck has quickly become one of our most anticipated community events,” said Mayor Fleta Byrd. “It’s a great opportunity for families to come together, learn about local services, and enjoy a fun, interactive day right here in Wilson’s Mills.”

The event is free to attend, and parking is available on site.
